Personal pronouns
Personal pronouns are used to mark specific grammatical person (like English "I", "you", "he", etc). In Wistrish, they are subdivided into two large groups:
- Non-3p pronouns β these decline very similar to each other no matter the number, therefore the numbers are grouped as separate pronouns. Non-3p pronouns do not distinguish between genders.
- 3p pronouns β their declension is somewhat reminiscent of the nominal one, so the number forms are not considered as separate entities. 3p pronouns distinguish between four genders: masculine, feminine, neuter animate and neuter inanimate.
Non-3p pronouns
Singular
Dual
- π πΉπ β 1pDU (we two).
- πΎπΏπ β 2pDU (you two).
Paucal
- π πΉπΈ β 1pPA (we few).
- πΎπΏπΈ β 2pPA (you few).
Plural
- π π΄πΉπ β 1pPL (we many).
- πΎπΏπ β 2pPL (you many).
3rd person pronouns
- πΉπ β 3pSG masculine (he).
- ππΉ β 3pSG feminine (she).
- πΉπππ° β 3pSG neuter animate (singular they).
- πΉππ° β 3pSG neuter inanimate (it).
Gender persists in non-singular forms and follows the gender paradigm noun grouping rules. Neuter does not distinguish between animate and inanimate in non-singular.
