Verbal tenses

Wistrish generally has two tenses: present (non-past) and past (preterite). Gnomic-iterationals are also considered a tense grammatically, though its formation differs from normal tenses (see its article).

Present tense is used for both present and future statements. Present/future distinction in imperfectives is derived from the context, while non-past perfectives always have future meaning.

Past tense is used for past statements.

In addition the main tenses, Wistrish has compound tense-aspects with relational meanings.
